Campus life

One day of student

Home student

What I want to do, what I want to do, what I am interested in, and what I can do.

I go to university for about 1 hour and 30 minutes each way by train and bicycle. When there is the first period, you have to leave home at 6:50 or you can't return home with empty frames, but I think that the benefit of home life is that you can rely on your parents in terms of life.

I think one of the attractions of City University is that it is easy to make friends. In particular, English classes are divided into classes regardless of the department, so it is easy to make friends with people from other departments. I play volleyball in the gym with friends in the gym.

Originally, I went to Department of Public Management aspiring to be a civil servant, but now I am thinking about finding a job for a private company. The high employment rate is also one of the attractions of City University. I have two activities: Ballet Club and the Co-op Student Committee New Student Supporters. Sometimes I think you're busy, but I try as many things as possible so that I can't work in any profession. I think college students are able to do a lot of things they want to do. Please take on the challenge of what you want to do!

Living alone

Leave the local area and broaden your horizons in a new place

I had the option of going to a local university, but I went to Shimonoseki City University to gain a variety of experiences and broaden my horizons. When I actually started living alone, I realized very well how much I was blessed so far. I am very grateful to my parents. Housekeeping, such as self-catering, washing, and cleaning, is really difficult, but I think this is also an experience and I do my best every day. We often use the university cafeteria on weekdays, but we also cook on holidays. The well-made rice is a stir-fry made with vegetables and meat!

The reason I chose Department of Economics because I wanted to learn about the flow of money and the structure of society, but in fact I haven't been able to decide on my future career so I also choose my teaching course. If you do your best at City University, you can get a teacher's license. I think one of the attractions of City University is that there are many occupations you can choose, even if you haven't decided on a career path yet.

Unlike high school, I think the important thing in college life is to manage your own time and move actively from yourself. City University has many gentle seniors, so please feel free to consult with us!

Yoshiki Matsuo

Mr.

Department of Economics 2nd year from Jinxi Gakuin High School in Nagasaki Prefecture

(As of April 1, 2023)

7:00

I'm cooking at home. On weekdays, I eat in the university cafeteria from breakfast, but on holidays I work hard to cook myself to save money. The first confident work is curry.

12:00

Talking with friends on the terrace of the university cafeteria. Since City University is a relatively small university, there are many faces that I often see on campus, making it easy to create relationships with people.

15:00

Self-study in the library using empty frames. If you try to take a teaching profession, you will have more subjects. Textbooks also have thick subjects, and time is effectively used to earn credits.

18:00

The fifth class ends at 18:00. In addition to regular classes, it is important to move actively from yourself, such as taking extracurricular courses besides regular classes.
