Faculty of Nursing

Message from the Dean

Professor NAKASHIMA Emiko

Nakashima Emiko

Protecting the health of local residents
Contributing to the development of the entire region

People living in the community can continue to live in their own areas as much as possible. To this end, there is a need for human resources who can protect the health of local residents and contribute to the development of the community together.

Shimonoseki City University will open Faculty of Nursing in April 2025 to train such professionals.

  • Have the basic academic ability necessary to learn nursing, and have learning habits.
  • You can listen to people's stories and think and express logically.
  • Being interested in people and society and building good relationships
  • Aspiring to become a nursing profession and learn with coordination.
  • There is a desire to contribute to the health and medical welfare of Shimonoseki and surrounding areas.

I would like these people to acquire the necessary skills to play a role in the future of the region at our university. We look forward to those who learn while snuggling up to the health of the people in the Shimonoseki and Kanmon areas, cooperate and collaborate, and want to become a nursing professional.
