On December 16, 2014 (Tuesday), at the Karato Satellite Campus, an additional course for the fall semester of this year, "Things Required for Community Development and Human Development-Regional Revitalization and Challenges for Shopping Streets" was held.

Professor Toshimitsu Nanba of Okayama University spoke about regional revitalization based on future population projections through examples from Okayama City and Kitakyushu City. In addition, while introducing Yamada Fukutani's philosophy, there was a lecture on the importance of "facilitators" necessary for town development. Some of the participants were actually involved in community development, and they listened eagerly.
