On October 19, 2016 (Wednesday), the Public University Open Lecture "Elderly Age and Purpose of Life-Thinking about Regional Differences in Urban/Rural Areas" was held in the I-201 classroom of the main building of the University.
Yusai Yoshitake, a specially appointed faculty member in charge of regional contributions at OIST, stated that he would consider regional differences in purpose based on data from national surveys and surveys in rural areas. Many citizens participated, and opinions that their hearts became even richer, and it was a very fulfilling course.
In the 2016 Citizen's University Open Lecture (Autumn Semester), there are still courses that can be applied in time, so we look forward to the participation of many citizens.
