Title of Lecture: Ecosystem theory: Why is the forest a lover of the sea?

[The aim of the lecture]

We will examine the scars that modern civilization has given to nature and traditional societies along with reports from the field. Rather than merely accusing the problem, we will consider together with the local community what kind of civilization is possible based on various practices.
In Part 1, we report what is happening in the sky, sea, and mountains in the region from changes in the ecology of living creatures.
In Part 2, we will consider the sustainability and transformation of traditional culture through traditional crafts, festivals, sake, etc. How does traditional culture respond to changes in society?
In Part 3, we look at the current situation of agricultural and rural areas in Japan, which is in danger. In addition, based on various reports such as the way of community development led by residents, the involvement of universities in local communities, and the relationship between disaster prevention and local communities, we will explore the possibility of transition from local communities. I want to go.
