Current research themes
We will study the historical changes in urban formation in the Kanmon area and the unique forms of administrative and private economic activities in urban areas formed across prefectural borders. In particular, we are studying the characteristics arising from the fact that Kanmon Straits is not merely a natural boundary but a port area, as well as the role and challenges of road and railway networks.
