Please be careful of food poisoning

Summer is a season when there are more fun opportunities such as outdoor barbecues, but as the temperature rises, it is an environment where bacteria that cause food poisoning, such as enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli and other bacteria can easily multiply as the temperature rises. Let's prevent outbreak of food poisoning by focusing on the following food poisoning prevention points.

How to prevent food poisoning! -6 points
  1. When shopping

・Carefully check the expiration date, etc., and purchase fresh ones.

・Separately wrap them in plastic bags so that meat and fish do not leak water.

・Buy food that needs to be refrigerated or frozen at the end of shopping and take it home as soon as you buy it.

  2. When saving

・Food that needs to be refrigerated or frozen immediately in the refrigerator or freezer.

・Be careful not to overload the refrigerator or freezer.

・Put it in a separate container for each food so that the gravy does not stick to other foods.

  3. Preparation of cooking

・Before and after handling meat, fish, eggs, etc., wash your hands thoroughly with soap.

・Wash kitchen knives, cutting boards, towels, scourers, etc. thoroughly and disinfect them with boiling water or chemicals.

・Do not cut raw meat or fish, such as vegetables, with kitchen knives and cutting boards that cut raw meat or fish.

・To thaw food, use the refrigerator or microwave oven, not room temperature.

・Frozen foods should be thawed only for cooking, and do not repeat freezing or thawing.

  4. During cooking

・Foods such as fish, meat, and eggs that are heated and cooked should be heated sufficiently. The standard temperature at the center is 75 degrees Celsius.

    It's more than one minute.

・If you stop cooking for a long time on the way, put it in the refrigerator.

  5. At meals

・Let's wash your hands before we get to the table.

・Don't leave the cooked food at room temperature for a long time, but eat it early.

(O157 doubles at room temperature in 15 to 20 minutes.)

  6. When food is left

・Separate them into shallow containers so that it cools quickly in the refrigerator.

・Don't throw away things that take a long time or something that you think is dangerous.

Is it food poisoning? If you think it

If you have any symptoms of food poisoning, such as vomiting, abdominal pain, or diarrhea, see your doctor immediately. In the case of abdominal pain or diarrhea, taking a commercially available antidiarrheal medicine or taking a cold medicine may have the opposite effect, so tell your doctor about the symptoms etc. Let's ask. As a first aid measure, let's replenish enough water. Drink lukewarm water is better than cold water that stimulates the intestine.
