[Report 2] Marketing Strategy for Financial Institutions in Shimonoseki City: Focus on Location Development―
Reporter: Associate Professor Yuya Sato, Faculty of Economics
Overview: Since fiscal 2016, we have been analyzing the location of financial institutions in local cities and the status of financial services.
I'm here. First of all, analysis is conducted at the prefectural level, and in the county, it is necessary to consolidate stores, complementary to post offices and convenience stores.
Showed the need to build relationships (Mori and Sato, 2017). FY2017 will be on a more local spatial scale.
We believe that analysis is necessary, and in this study, we aim to elucidate the mechanism of location and reorganization of financial institutions in Shimonoseki City.
As a result of the analysis, 1) There is a difference in location between the former Shimonoseki City and the former four towns from the distribution, and in recent years the difference has become more clearer.
(2) I am conscious of the location of convenience stores, but it is not a complementary relationship in terms of space, 3) I am empty of post offices
It became clear that the cooperation was not progressing, although it was complemented in the meantime.
