About prevention of influenza

Influenza is characterized by strong systemic symptoms such as sudden high fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain, and symptoms such as sore throat, nasal discharge, and cough are also seen. It is also characterized by bronchitis, pneumonia, etc., which can cause severe illness.
Influenza varies depending on the year, but begins from November to December every year, and the number of patients increases between January and March of the following year. Prepare for infection by focusing on the following points.

Prevent influenza
  1. Get a vaccination (vaccination) before the flu season.
  2. Always wash your hands with gargle and soap when you return home or before eating.
  3. Get a well-balanced diet and a good rest to relieve fatigue as soon as possible.
  4. Viruses can easily breed when the humidity is low, so keep the room humidity at 50-60%.
  5. Avoid crowds and going out to downtown areas, and wear a mask when you go out.

※It takes about two weeks after vaccination for the effect to appear, and the effect is said to last for about five months.
※Gargle and hand washing are effective, not limited to influenza.
※The disinfectant solution is to be sterilized when vaporizes, so rub it firmly into your hands and dry naturally. (If you wipe your hands with a handkerchief or towel, you will not get enough effect.)
※Disinfectants are installed in each building of the university, so please use it.

If you have the flu
  1. Replenish enough water (tea, juice, soup, etc.)
  2. Let's rest and take a good rest. Visit a medical institution as soon as possible and take a break from school or workplace.
  3. Wear a mask and refrain from going out so that you don't pass on.
  4. Use the medicine properly according to the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist. If you feel something wrong with using medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible.
Cough etiquette
  1. When coughing or sneezing, hold your mouth and nose with a handkerchief, tissue, etc., and turn your face away from others at least 1m.
  2. If coughs occur, wear a mask to keep people around you. Also, encourage those who are coughing to wear a mask.
Others
  1. If cold-like symptoms (coughs, sore throat, etc.) persist for a long time, consult a medical institution as soon as possible.
  2. Students who have been diagnosed with influenza should contact the Student Support Group by telephone.
  3. Let's go to school two days after the fever has been resolved.
