"Let's learn the essence of Japanese culture" has been holding various exchange meetings since 2008 with the aim of stimulating and understanding of Japanese culture among all OIST students, including international students, to promote and understand Japanese culture.
　The first in 2023 is a journey around Yamaguchi's culture and nature. Rurikoji Temple Five-storied Pagoda in Yamaguchi City has undergone major renovations once every 70 years. We will observe while listening to the explanation of the volunteer guide. You will also explore one of the largest limestone caves in the Orient (Akiyoshidai Akiyoshido). Finally, visit the 123 red-painted torii gates Motonosumi-jinja Shrine (former Motonosumi Inari Shrine) from the hill to the sea, and experience the fusion of nature and culture.

Destination: Rurikoji~Motonosumi-jinja Shrine
Target: About 40 students from Shimonoseki City University

Participation fee: 1,500 yen (Akiyoshido entrance fee, bus usage fee)
　　　　※ If the number of participants is 19 or less, the participation fee will be 1,700 yen.
