The Japan Student Services Organization's loan scholarship is loaned by you during your university while you are at university and must be returned after graduation. The returned scholarship will be lent immediately as junior scholarships, and if the refund is not made smoothly, it will seriously hinder the junior scholarship loan. Please understand the mechanism of this system, which can only be achieved by fulfilling their responsibilities as scholars, and be sure to return them as promised.

Notes

Regarding the commencement of scholarship refund (when the maturity ends in March 2024)

Return starts (first transfer date) is October 28, 2024 (Monday). It will be automatically transferred from the relay account that has been processed. Check the account of the registered financial institution in advance, and be careful not to be able to transfer due to insufficient balance.

Scholarships will be refunded by direct debit (automatic debit). Please apply either Scala Net Personal (only the scholarship student's name account only) or the "Bank Transfer (Relay Account) Application Form" (an account other than the scholarship student's name). This must be joined by everyone, including those who make early refunds. Please note that the procedures for joining relay accounts for those whose maturities expire in March 2024 will be announced until the end of November 2023.

About various procedures

If there is any change in the information (address, work place, telephone number, etc.) entered in the return pledge, please notify the Japan Student Services Organization using the prescribed form or on the dedicated website (Scalanet Personal). If you do not notify us of the change, you may not receive an important notice from the Japan Student Services Organization.

Regarding advance return

All or part of the installments that have not yet reached the due date can be refunded. If you wish to return it early, please apply using the prescribed format or a dedicated website (Scala Net Personal).

In the case of overdue

Please note that if the refund is delayed due to insufficient balance or unsubmission of notification, etc., it will result in arrears and arrearages will be charged.
In addition, if you continue to be late, your personal information will be registered with the "Personal Credit Information Authority", your use of credit cards may be restricted, or mortgages may not be able to form mortgages.

When the return becomes difficult

If the scholarship student becomes difficult to return due to economic difficulties, unemployment, illness, disaster, etc., he / she can request a reduction in the installment amount (reduction refund) or a postponement of the refund deadline.
