About the "tuition fee postpayment system" at the master's stage

From 2024, the government will introduce a "tuition post-payment system" for graduate master's program by the government. This system is a system in which tuition is paid "postpayment" according to your income after graduation. Payment after graduation is made so that payment during the child-rearing period is not excessive.
If you wish to use this system, please check the following and apply to Student Support Division.
Please note that the content announced this time is the current information, so the content may be changed or updated in the future.

Notes

・Since this system is loaned, it is mandatory to return it to the Japan Student Services Organization after completion.
・It cannot be used in conjunction with the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) Class 1 Scholarship (loan).
・This system applies only to tuition fees specified in the university rules. Other fees other than tuition fees are not covered by this system.
・The tuition fee for the amount to be supported will be transferred directly to the university from the Japan Student Services Organization. The living expenses scholarship will be transferred to the applicant.
・In order to use this system, it is mandatory to join the institution guarantee, so tuition support money (repayment of tuition fees) will be lent so that the amount after deducting the guarantee fee will be the amount equivalent to the tuition fee. The living expenses scholarship will be loaned by subtracting the guarantee fee from the monthly amount, similar to the current Class 1 scholarship.
・As with the first-class scholarship (loan), it is eligible for a loan scholarship refund exemption system based on excellent achievements. However, those who are enrolled in the spring of 2024 are not eligible for the refund exemption "offer" system, so if you wish to apply for a normal Class 1 Loan Scholarship.
・Eligible recipients of this system will postpone all or part of tuition fees for the Spring and Fall Semester 2024 until the fall of 2024, when the adoption or rejection is determined. Admission fees and other expenses are not eligible, so please pay according to the prescribed method and date.
・The living expenses scholarship will be transferred back to the recruitment month after the decision is made. (Scheduled to be transferred in November 2024)
・If you have already paid tuition for the first half of fiscal 2024, you will not be eligible for this program in the first half of fiscal 2024. (Applicable from the second half of FY2024)
