"Let's learn the essence of Japanese culture" has been holding various exchange meetings since 2008 with the aim of stimulating and understanding of Japanese culture among all OIST students, including international students, to promote and understand Japanese culture.

For the first time in fiscal 2024, we will visit the cultural properties of the "Nostalgic" Strait, which is recognized as a Japan Heritage Site by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, learn about the history of Shimonoseki and Kitakyusyu, and take a walk by means of transportation unique to Kanmon Straits.
