To all students and parents affected by Typhoon No. 10

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all those affected by this typhoon.

We also wish you a quick recovery as soon as possible.

For students who wish to receive a scholarship due to the disaster and wish to receive a scholarship, we are accepting applications for benefit scholarships [repair sudden household adoption], loan scholarships [emergency recruitment / emergency recruitment], and [JASSO Disaster Support Fund]. If you would like to apply, please contact us at the following address.


1. Areas subject to the Disaster Relief Act for Disasters associated with Typhoon No. 10 in 2024

 68 municipalities in three prefectures (Aichi, Miyazaki and Kagoshima prefectures) ※Date of application of the Disaster Relief Act August 27 and August 28

 ※For details on the applicable areas, please refer to the Japan Student Services Organization website (areas where the Disaster Relief Act is applied within one year).

 ※Students from households that have suffered equivalent disasters in the above neighboring areas will also be handled according to the applicable area.


2. Benefit Scholarship [Application for sudden change in household finances] (Return required) ※For undergraduate students.

 If the livelihood maintainer is affected by an earthquake, fire, storm or flood, etc., and falls under any of the following ➁

 ➀Applicable to any of A to C

  A One (or both) of the livelihood maintainers died

  B One (or both) of livelihood maintainers has difficulty working for at least six months due to an accident or illness

  C One (or both) of livelihood maintainers is unemployed (only in the case of involuntary unemployment)

 ②Due to the disaster, one (or both) of the livelihood maintainers to significantly reduce household income, such as unknown life or death, missing, and difficulty working.


3. Loan Scholarship [Emergency Recruitment / Emergency Recruitment] (refund required) ※For undergraduate and graduate students.

 Students who wish to receive scholarships due to sudden changes in households due to death, accidents, illness, unemployment, etc. of livelihood maintainers, or disasters such as earthquakes, fires, storms and floods.


4. JASSO Disaster Relief Fund ※For undergraduate and graduate students.

 Those who have suffered damage such as inundation above floor level, partial destruction, etc., or whose parents live, or whose parents live in evacuation advisory for more than one month. Click here for more information (Japan Student Services Organization website).
