If you decide to be a temporary student
From dispatch study abroad decision to departure
- Understand the situation of the destination country
Register for "Tabi cashier".
Understand the situation of the dispatched country on the website of the consulate or embassy of the dispatched country in Japan.
※ We will not neglect to check the status of the destination country until we leave. - Make a plan for the future.
①Check the courses you have taken.
② We will confirm the subjects (units) to be acquired before graduation.
③ Check the courses that can be taken at the destination university.
④ Register for courses to be acquired before departure. - Acquire documents proving the language level required to take at the destination university.
3-4 months before you start studying abroad, you must submit your language level certificate to the recipient.
If you have not reached the required language skills by that date, you will not be able to study abroad. - I'll be fine.
If you have a chronic illness, consult with your doctor and make a treatment plan while studying abroad.
Complete the dental treatment. (Terminate treatment of tooth decay and wisdom.) - Make a plan for study abroad expenses.
Calculate the expenses required for studying abroad and consult with your family about the payment method.
If you wish to lend a scholarship from the Japan Student Services Organization, please apply by the deadline. - Housing
If you are currently living in an apartment, consult with your family about the handling of an apartment while studying abroad and make arrangements. - Part-time job
If you are working part-time, consult with your part-time job at the time of retirement.
※ In principle, you cannot work part-time in the country where you study abroad. - We will attend a student briefing every month.
- Develop a global mission program plan.
- Apply for study abroad at the destination university.
Apply for the issuance of transcripts in English. (3-4 months before the start of study abroad) - Consult with the teacher in charge of seminars (specialized exercises I and II) about guidance while studying abroad.
- Apply for a "Student Visa". (After receiving a study abroad permit from the host university)
※Preparations for visa applications will begin after submitting a study abroad application to the destination university. - We will arrange air tickets for travel.
- The departure procedure will be performed at the university.

③ Submit “Departure Notification (Prescribed Form)”.
④ Submit the “Contact Notice for Study Abroad (Prescribed Form)”. - Ask Career Center Division about job hunting while studying abroad and after returning to Japan.

From start of study abroad to return to Japan
- Download and register the i-search app in Japan Irac.
- We will inform you that you have arrived safely at the destination university.
(Parents, seminar teachers, International Exchange Center, etc.) - Check the emergency contact information.
Phone numbers of police and ambulances in the destination country, collect call methods, etc. - Apply for a "Resident Registration" to the Consulate General (Japanese diplomatic mission abroad).
- Always collect information on personal safety and the world situation.
Understand the situation of the dispatched country on the website of the Japanese embassy or consulate to the destination country.
※ We will not fail to confirm the situation of the destination country. - Stay in close contact with International Exchange Center, etc. of the host university.
- When visiting a country other than the country where the university is located while studying abroad, or temporarily returning to Japan
① Perform procedures for "Re-entry Permit" at the destination country
➁ Submit “Travel Notification (Prescribed Form)” and “Temporary Return Notification (Prescribed Form)”. - Students will be active at the destination university.
Actively conduct Gaku Osamu, deepen understanding, and strive to achieve good results.
We are committed to the Global Mission Program.
Actively participate in circle activities, international exchange events, volunteer activities, etc. - Monthly reports will be made to International Exchange Center. (Monthly)
Just before returning to Japan
- Pay all sorts of payments. (Rent, mobile phone fee, Internet usage fee, etc.)
- If you have a bank account on site, complete the account cancellation procedure.
- Receive 3 transcripts or request mail from the host university.
(1 copy for student registration, 1 copy for credit-compatible copy, for personal use)
※ If there is a grade slip for each semester, two copies are required.
※ In order to apply for credit compatibility, a syllabus for each subject is required. - Report the return schedule to Japanese families.
- Submit “Return Notification (Prescribed Form)” and return flight information to International Exchange Center.
- I thank the people who took care of me and return home so that I don't forget anything.
After returning to Japan
- Report that you have returned safely. (International Exchange Center, seminar teachers, etc.)
- Submit the Student Course Report (Prescribed Form) and one copy of the transcript issued by the host university. (Submit to International Exchange Center - within 2 weeks after returning to Japan)
- We will respond to the "Return Questionnaire" for returning international students, and submit data on your study abroad experience (up to 1,200 characters) and photos taken while studying abroad. (Submit to International Exchange Center - within 4 weeks after returning to Japan)
- Submit “Application Form for Credit Certification (Predetermined Form)”, “Transcript” of the host university, and syllabus for subjects taken at the host university.

Application deadline: Dispatched international students who departed from February to March (for one year study abroad) around January 30
※One of the important objectives of studying abroad is to acquire credits at the destination university. Please be sure to complete the credit certification procedure by the deadline. - Make a course plan after returning to Japan.

- We will make a presentation at the study abroad experience presentation.
- We will report the results at the Global Mission Program Meeting.
