On April 7 (Sun) and 8 (Mon), 2013, we conducted a training program for first-year students in Department of Public Management. (Venue: Shimonoseki Youth House)

　This training was held with the aim of deepening bonds between students and building connections with seniors and faculty members through various orientations and eating together. This is the third time, and the second and third graders also participated as facilitators, supporting new students to start their university life with peace of mind.

　After the group was divided, discussions to understand the purpose of Department of Public Management, mini athletic meet, consultations and social gatherings with faculty and staff members relieved tensions and began to increase laughter.

　In the questionnaire after the end of the questionnaire, many students answered that "it was meaningful" and said, "I was worried, but I was glad to participate." He said, "I talked with various people and made friends." It will continue to be an important event in Department of Public Management to welcome new students as a first step in making friends and college goals.
