On April 7 (Sun) and 8 (Mon), 2013, we conducted a training course for freshmen in Department of Public Management. (Place: Shimonoseki Youth's House)

　This training was held with the aim of deepening bonds between students and creating connections with seniors and faculty members through various orientations and sleeping together, and creating connections with seniors and teachers. This was the third time, and 2nd and 3rd graders also participated as facilitators, supporting new students to start college life with peace of mind.

　After the group splitting, new students began to relax and laugh through discussions to understand the purpose of Department of Public Management, mini athletic meet, consultations and social gatherings with faculty and staff.

　In the questionnaire after the end, many students answered that it was "significant" and "I was worried, but I was glad to participate." "I was able to talk to various people and make friends." This event will be held in Department of Public Management as an important event to welcome new students as the first step towards making friends and university life goals.
