We held an honorary title award ceremony.

At 13:30 on June 19, 2014, the title of Professor Emeritus was awarded to former Professor Tadao Kawamoto and former Professor Mamoru Shimoda, who retired on March 31, 2014, at the large conference room on the 5th floor of Building II. Professor Shimoda was absent due to circumstances.

From President, Professor Emeritus Kawamoto worked for 31 years and received valuable opinions at various milestones, such as Hikozaemon Okubo. In the retirement greeting of City University Public Relations No. 72, "I don't think universities have become vocational schools nationwide and are raising students who really think deeply." "It is necessary to regenerate education that shakes life and doubts one's own foundation" will be an issue for the future. I am very sorry that I left the university, but I look forward to your continued success in the future.

In addition, Professor Emeritus Kawamoto said that when he was awarded the title of Professor Emeritus to other faculty members a few years ago, he said, "I am glad that I was able to join the professor emeritus." I thought it was like that, but in fact, I was happy when I put myself in the same position. It is a pity that many talented teachers have retired during their tenure, but if the teachers are firm, the students will be firm. The best thing about our university is the faculty meeting. There was a statement that the time when free and open opinions were exchanged, regardless of the position, was very meaningful.

Thank you very much for your efforts in our education for a long time. Please continue to support Shimonoseki City University.
