The 53rd University Festival (Maguan Festival) was held.

The 53rd Shimonoseki City University University Festival "Maguan Festival" was held.

This year, the event was held under the theme of "echo". This theme has two meanings. "echo" means "echo" and "echo" and "echo" Japanese English, which is abbreviation of Ecology. Eco-friendly eco activities echoed from Shimonoseki City University to the community and society, and this theme was raised with the desire to make it a long-lasting activity.

On the day of the Maguan Festival, eco bags were distributed to the local community, the behavior of Fukunabe using reused tableware, and flea markets were held. In addition, theme-based events were held, such as the Eco Cap Campaign, which collects PET bottle caps and uses it for vaccines in developing countries, and fashion shows using used clothes.

This time, with the approach of Typhoon No. 19, the University Festival Executive Committee prioritizes safety, such as setting the height of the outdoor stage low and changing or canceling planned events in consideration of safety. It was held while judging. In addition, the number of places to announce the results of their activities so far has been reduced, and while having frustrated, cooperated with the university festival executive committee, and it became a university festival saved by the common sense of all students.

Although the event was held in such a situation, many local residents also came and I feel that the students of the university and the local community were able to make a smile "echo" with a smile and finish it safely.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the local people for their understanding and cooperation, as well as the companies for their support and cooperation in holding the Maguan Festival.
