On June 11 (Thursday), Kitakyusyu City University and TUFS co-hosted the "Kanmon Area Joint Research Results Report Meeting" at the Conference Room 314/315 meeting rooms in the West Japan General Exhibition Hall.
　After the opening remarks of Kitakyusyu City University Vice President and Director Masato Yanai of the Institute for Urban Policy, the first part was Associate Professor Toshikazu Yamakawa and Associate Professor Take Fujitani, Professor Toshiaki Mizutani, and Associate Professor Kazuhisa Miyashita reported their research results.
　As a second part, a mini-symposium was held entitled "Prospects for New Gate Collaboration in the Future". Inviting panelists from each standpoint of industry, academia, government, and money (+ residents), aiming for new barrier cooperation with the aim of linking citizen exchange, educational and cultural activities, and tourism cooperation with the economic revitalization of the Kanmon area. We discussed the prospects and received lively opinions from the venue. Finally, Dr. Toshimitsu Nanba, Director of Regional Co-creation Center, Shimonoseki City University, gave a speech.
