#Kanmon area joint research

2017 Sekimon Regional Joint Study Group Results Report Meeting was held.

　On July 13 (Thursday), we held the "Kanmon Regional Joint Study Group Results Report Meeting" jointly hosted by Kitakyusyu City University Regional Strategic Research Institute and the Center for Regional Co-creation at the 3rd floor of the New Building of West Japan General Exhibition Center.
　After opening remarks by Masato Yanai, Vice President of Kitakyusyu City University and Director of Regional Strategic Research Institute, Professor Akira Uchida, Lecturer Chieko Terada, and Professor Toshimitsu Nanba gave a report on the research results conducted in FY2016. 　As part 2, a symposium entitled "Regional Disaster Prevention and Reconstruction" was held. Based on the Kumamoto Earthquake and the Great East Japan Earthquake, we discussed how disaster prevention should be in the Kanmon area and the direction of community development, and received lively opinions from the venue. Finally, Mr. Hidetsugu Hamada, Director of the Regional Co-creation Center attached to Shimonoseki City University, closed the session with a greeting.
