On March 14, 2019 (Thursday), the 6th Fuku Archive Fugu Symposium was held in the Large Conference Room on the 2nd floor of Karato-ichiba.

　This time, the “Inbound Consumption Revitalization Exploratory Committee Utilizing Shimonoseki Fugu” was held three times in August, October, 2018 and January 2019. A report was prepared based on what was discussed by the Review Committee. This symposium was held to widely inform the various proposals written in the report.

　In the first part of the lecture, Prof. Hidetsugu Hamada of Gifu University gave a lecture entitled "Regional Revitalization through Inbound Measures Utilizing Shimonoseki Fugu". Professor Hiroshi Yokoyama of TUFS gave a lecture on "Latest Analysis on Fugu Consumption and Problems Presentation" which was conducted mainly by Prof.

　In the second part of the panel discussion, entitled "Shimonoseki Fugu and Regional Revitalization", Prof. Eiji Hamada and Prof. Hiroshi Yokoyama, CEO Toshitaka Mochizuki, Representative Director of Kawahisa Co., Ltd., and Mitsuru Sasaki, a member of the China Branch of Minato Yamaguchi Godo Shimbun Co., Ltd., participated in a panel discussion.

　All the participants listened very enthusiastically to various proposals for regional revitalization utilizing Shimonoseki Fugu, and it was a fruitful symposium.

　The Fuku Archives, together with the Whaling Archives, will contribute to the community by further promoting research and research in the future and enhancing the materials. We look forward to your continued understanding and cooperation.
