#Regional co-creationShimonoseki Whale Summer School was held
This year, following last year, the Shimonoseki Whale Summer School for elementary school students in the city was held on Saturday, July 27 at the University Main Building I-206 classroom. First of all, Mr. Sou Ishikawa, director of the Shimonoseki Whale Research Office, said, "What kind of creature is whale?" I had a talk about it. Next, Mr. Mitsuhiro Kishimoto, a commissioned researcher at our university, talked about the history of Shimonoseki and whales. Elementary school students raised their hands and expressed their opinions, and actively participated.
After the talk, we toured the library in Building II of the Main Building of the University, and then toured the model of the mother ship on the first floor of Library and Study Center Building and the skull of sardine whales. Elementary school students who participated learned a lot about "Whales". Before the start, it was a sultry day such as rain, but thank you for visiting the university. I hope it will be helpful for free research.
The Shimonoseki City University Regional Co-creation Center plans to plan and implement various courses in the future. If you are interested, please join us.
