The 7th Japanese Language Speech Contest was held at Shimonoseki City University on November 7 (Thursday).
　A total of 19 international students participated, including 4 from the University of East Asia, 1 from Baiko Gakuin University, and 14 from Shimonoseki City University.
　All international students made full use of their daily practice results and gave wonderful speeches. After the presentation of 10 people in the first part and 9 people in the second part, there was a Q&A session.

　Students of the University's basic exercises and participants of the civic course asked a wide range of questions, including the contents of international students' presentations, the home country of international students, and the impression of Japan. Some citizens also asked questions about complex historical relationships between countries that are not in line with the intent of the contest, but the international students spoke calmly and honestly about their ideas.

　Our international exchange aims to deepen our understanding of the way people interact and coexist in the international community, and to break a new perspective. The holding of the Japanese Speech Contest is also part of that.
　I would like to continue to promote education and exchange for international understanding. Thank you very much for your participation and attendance.
