#International ExchangeThe 7th Japanese Speech Contest Japan was held!
The 7th Japanese Speech Contest of Shimonoseki City University was held on November 7 (Thursday).
A total of 19 international students, 4 from Toa University, 1 from Baiko Gakuin University, and 14 from Shimonoseki City University, participated.
All international students made full use of their daily practice results and gave excellent speeches. After the presentations of 10 people in Part 1 and 9 people in Part 2, we had time for questions and answers, respectively.
Students of the University's basic exercises and participants of citizen lectures asked a wide range of questions, including the content of presentations by international students, the home country of international students, and the impression of Japan. Some citizens also asked questions about the complex historical relationship between countries that did not fit the purpose of this contest, but the international students spoke calmly and honestly about their thoughts.
Our international exchange has been aimed at deepening our understanding of people's exchanges and coexistence in the international community, and opening up new perspectives. The Japanese Speech Contest is also part of this.
I hope that all faculty and staff will continue to promote education and exchange for international understanding. Thank you very much for your participation and attendance.
