On January 22nd (Friday), the New Year's, Industry-Government-Academia Online Lecture was held.

　The theme of the lecture is "To live in an information society in the future: Marketing Research and Statistics." We asked Mr. Kimihisa Kudo of GMO Research Co., Ltd. to give a lecturer and talked. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was held at an online lecture using Zoom.

　First, there was a greeting from President Yoichi Kawanami and a message from Mayor Shintaro Maeda, Mayor Shimoseki. After that, the moderator of the YANAGI Jun Regional Co-creation Center introduced Dr. Kudo and started a video lecture. In his lecture, he talked about specific scenes in which data science is used, using marketing research and statistics.

　The participants listened enthusiastically, although it was held online. After the lecture, a live Q & A session time was set up, and Mr. Kudo, a lecturer, carefully answered various questions received from students, faculty, staff, administrative staff, etc., and it was a very fruitful lecture .

　The Regional Co-creation Center intends to contribute to the community by further focusing on industry-government-academia collaboration and conducting various projects in the future. We look forward to your continued understanding and cooperation.
