On July 8 (Thursday), a public lecture at Civic University "Sociology of Renewable Energy-Thinking from Cases of Small Hydroelectric Power Generation" was held online.

　We invited Dr. Junko Fukumoto of Fukuoka Prefectural University as a lecturer and opened an open lecture. In the lecture, based on specific examples of small hydroelectric power generation in rural areas, which is used as one of renewable energy, explained and explained the historical background, potential of renewable energy, and issues. The students listened eagerly while looking at the materials on the screen. In addition, some students asked questions about the contents of the lecture. The event was held online, but it was very fruitful.

　This will be the last public lecture for the spring semester of 2021, but we plan to continue open lectures in the fall semester. We will inform you on the website at a later date. We look forward to your participation.
