"Let's get to know the essence of Japanese culture! This program has been held since 2008 with the aim of stimulating and understanding of Japanese culture among all OIST students, including international students, to raise their interest in Japanese culture.

　In the first round of 2021, we visited the museum while listening to stories from the director of the Doigahama Archeological Museum and Anthropology Museum. The Doigahama archeological site, where the director said to be "the best archeological site in Japan" was a very interesting place.
　In addition, we visited Tsunoshima and Fukutoku Inari Shrine, which are popular tourist destinations. I was able to enjoy the superb view while feeling the strong winds of the Sea of Japan unique to this season.
　Next time, "Let's learn the essence of Japanese culture!" We are preparing a project to rediscover Shimonoseki and Japan. It will be a fun party, so please join us.
