The Fugu Symposium (online) was held on February 9 (Wednesday).
　This symposium was held online under the title "Toward the Restoration of Shimonoseki Fuku Brand".
　Dr. Shugo Watabe, Professor Emeritus of the University of Tokyo and Specially Appointed Professor of the Faculty of Marine Life Sciences, Kitasato University, gave a presentation on the issue of this symposium.
　Dr. Takashi Sato, the general moderator, made progress, and the symposium proceeded. In Part 1, individual lectures and reports were given by seven instructors. The instructors talked about each theme from various angles.
　In Part 2, the lecturers continued to discuss the theme of the panel discussion "Strategic Issues for the Restoration of the Shimonoseki Fugu Brand". There was also a question and answer session from the participants, and the panel discussion was heated.
　Finally, Dr. Takashi Sato gave the closing remarks and finished. Despite being held during the daytime on weekdays, many people participated. The symposium was very fruitful with the enthusiastic listening to the symposium, and it was a very fruitful symposium with valuable opinions and suggestions.

　In fiscal 2021, as the COVID-19 pandemic continued, it was a year of trial and error to return to everyday life. While there were events that were held online and events that prevented infection, there were also events that were forced to cancel. In the next fiscal year, we will plan and implement it in a better way while looking at the infection status in Corona. Furthermore, we will focus on regional cooperation and contribute more to the region. We look forward to your continued understanding and cooperation.
