Shimonoseki Whale School Terakoya edition was held.

 On October 23 (Sun), at Chofu Garden, a hands-on learning event for elementary school students and parents living in the city, "Shimonoseki Whale School Terakoya Edition" was sponsored by Chofu Garden, Cable Net Shimonoseki Co., Ltd. (J: COM Shimonoseki City University, co-hosted by Shimonoseki City University and supported by Shimonoseki City Board of Education.

 In October 2021, the Whale Materials Exhibition Room, which displays whale materials owned by NAIST, opened in Chofu Garden Ninokura, the venue was held twice in the morning and afternoon at the Chofu Garden, where the maples began to change color.

 At the event, we learned about the ecology of whales and the relationship between Shimonoseki and whales through a quiz on whales by Professor KISHIMOTO Mitsuhiro. After that, the participants were divided into two groups, and toured the materials in the Whale Material Exhibition Room with commentary by Dr. Kishimoto, and had a tea ceremony experience to enjoy matcha and sweets.
 Elementary school students actively raised their hands to answer quizzes, and parents were surprised at the unexpected use of whales, and the participants enjoyed learning about "whale". It seemed that you had.
