On April 25 (Tuesday), a public university open lecture “Applied Microeconomics” was launched.

　There are several styles of our open lectures, and among them, this "applied microeconomics" is in the form of "open classes". This means that regular classes offered at OIST are open in the form of open lectures, and citizens who have applied will take the course together with the students of the university.

　This time, one person applied for the third class of applied microeconomics, and took a class on the theme of "opportunity cost."
　The students worked with the students on group work-centered classes and actively participated.

　The university offers open lectures for citizens' universities that can be easily studied, and this year there are five courses in the spring semester. For more information, please refer to the website of the Public University Open Course.

　We are very pleased to be able to offer open courses, which were only online due to the COVID-19 pandemic, face-to-face for the first time in four years. In the future, we aim to be a university that can provide a place for learning to citizens.
