On July 30 (Sun), at Chofu Garden, a hands-on learning event "Shimonoseki Parent and Child Summer School" for elementary school students and parents living in the city will be held at Chofu Garden, Cable Net Shimonoseki Co., Ltd. (J: COM Shimonoseki), Shimonoseki City University Co-sponsored, sponsored by Shimonoseki City Board of Education.
At the event, Dr. KISHIMOTO Mitsuhiro, Professor of the University, gave two lectures: the Shimonoseki Whale Class, to learn about the ecology of whales and the relationship between Shimonoseki and whales, and the Associate Professor SASAKI Jun, to learn about the formation and convenience of numbers. Both lectures were held in a quiz format, and participants were working on unique issues with parents and children.
In addition to the lectures, there was a tour of the whale material exhibition room in the Chofu Garden with commentary by Dr. Kishimoto, and a tea ceremony experience where you can enjoy matcha and sweets.
The Shimonoseki City University Urban Mirai Creation Strategy Organization plans to continue planning and implementing various courses that local residents can participate in. We will inform you on the university website, etc. If you are interested, please join us.
