On July 30 (Sun), at Chofu Garden, a hands-on learning event for elementary school students and parents living in the city will be held at Chofu Garden, Cable Net Shimonoseki Co., Ltd. (J: COM Shimonoseki), It was co-hosted by Shimonoseki City University and supported by the Shimonoseki City Board of Education.
At the event, two lectures were given by Dr. Whale and a special professor at KISHIMOTO Mitsuhiro, the Shimonoseki Whale Classroom, where students learn about the ecology of whales and the relationship between Shimonoseki and whales, and SASAKI Jun gave an interesting mathematics class. Both lectures were held in quiz format, and participants worked on unique issues with parents and children.
In addition to the lectures, there was also a tour of the whale materials exhibition room in the Chofu Garden with commentary by Dr. Kishimoto, and there was also a tea ceremony experience to enjoy matcha and sweets.
