Shorinji Kempo Club will participate in the national competition.

Students belonging to the Shorinji Kempo Club of OIST will participate in the national competition.

　Masaku Aota (2nd year in Department of International Commerce) of Shorinji Kempo Club participated in the 51st Yamaguchi Prefecture Shorinji Kempo Tournament and the 2023 Shorinji Kempo World Tournament in Tokyo, Japan, which also serves as a qualifying round for the national competition held on June 11 (Sun). Last year, Shorinji Kempo Club achieved the highest (1st place) in the 50th Yamaguchi Prefecture Shorinji Kempo Tournament last year.

　A send-off party was held on September 28 (Thursday), and a list of prizes from the university was handed to Mr. Aota from Chair.

　At the farewell party, Mr. Aota strongly stated, "I want to win the qualifying and proceed to the final round because I will participate in the national tournament."

　I look forward to your success in the national competition.
