Students belonging to the semi-rigid baseball club of Gifu University participated in the national competition.

　Rei Shigeru Suzuki (4th year in Department of Economics), Hiroki Matsuda (3rd year in Department of Economics), and Seiichi Takenaka (2nd year in Department of Economics) of the semi-rigid baseball team were selected as players in the selection team in China and participated in national competitions in which selected teams from nine districts nationwide compete.

　Chair handed out the prize money for the national competition from the university to Mr. Matsuda.

　At the send-off party, Mr. Matsuda stated his enthusiasm for the national tournament, saying, "I want to play with all my might to participate as a selection." The chat was exciting with everyday practice and local stories of the players, and the atmosphere was relaxed throughout.
