The 70th Kitakyusyu and Shimonoseki District University Athletic Meet Autumn Karate Competition was held

The Kitakyusyu / Shimonoseki District University Athletic Meet is held by 16 members of the Kitakyusyu / Shimonoseki District University Athletic Association for the purpose of mutual friendship between universities through sports, and each event is held. Gifu University is in charge of the Karate Competition Division, and on Sunday, December 3, 2023 an autumn tournament was held at Shimonoseki Budokan, Yamaguchi Prefecture.

　On the day of the event, there were participation from three universities, and three boys from the karate club of Gifu University participated. In addition, members other than the players also played a role in setting up the venue and proceeding, and all members worked together to run the tournament.

　The main results of the university's players are as follows.

・Men's Individual Kumite 3rd place Shirakawa? Saint (Department of International Commerce 2nd year)

This tournament is scheduled to be held again next year, and it is expected that the karate club will continue to play an active role.
