Of the six open lectures offered in the fall semester of this year, this course was held in the form of an open lecture, and one of the courses offered by Special Professor KISHIMOTO Mitsuhiro Faculty of Economics’s “Fishery Economics” class for students at OIST, was opened in the form of an open lecture, allowing students to take the course together with their students.
In the course, he focused on the nutritional value of whales, which were once used as a valuable source of protein in Japan, and explained the appeal of whale food culture, which has been reviewed in recent years.
This year's open lecture will be closed, but we are currently preparing for the opening of the open lecture in 2024.
