Professor Yukihiro Bando of Faculty of Data Science and his colleagues received a performance award from the Society of Electro-Information and Communications.

Professor Yukihiro Bando of Faculty of Data Science, together with Shohei Matsuo (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation) and Masayuki Takamura (Hosei University) at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, received the 2023 Achievement Award of Electronics and Information Communication Engineers.

We will send a message to high school students aiming to become City University with the voice of Professor Bando's joy. "I am very honored to receive this prestigious award, the Performance Award. At the same time, I would like to thank Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation for their guidance and support in promoting this research. By the way, I think that the field of data science, which is closely related to the content of this award, is a field full of possibilities. Even if it is a small local public university such as our university, I think it is a field that has the potential to fight well with the world. High school students who want to challenge their potential are welcome. Let's open up a new world through the creation of research results together with us."

[The Society of Electro-Information and Communication is a place where people engaged in research and professional work on electronic information communication gather and exchange information each other to promote learning in the field of electronic information communication. Currently, about 25,000 members are a large-scale academic society in Japan in engineering. (From the official website of the Japan Society of Information and Communications)
