Professor Yukihiro Bando of Faculty of Data Science received the 2023 Achievement Award from the Japan Society of Electronics, Information and Communications Society for his research entitled "Research and Development of Video Encoding Technology and Promoting International Standardization of MPEG" when he was enrolled in Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation and Masayuki Takamura (Hosei University).
