The Kitakyusyu / Shimonoseki District University Athletic Meet is held by 16 members of the Kitakyusyu / Shimonoseki District University Athletic Association for the purpose of mutual friendship between universities through sports, and is in charge of 16 sports at a time. TUFS is in charge of the karate competition, and on June 23, 2024, the Spring Games were held at Shimonoseki City University Gymnasium (SDS Driving Arena).

　On the day of the event, there were participants from six universities, and three boys from TUFS Karate Club participated. In addition, while the seniors of the OB Federation who rushed as referees taught me, members other than the players also played a role in setting up the venue and proceeding, and all members ran the tournament together.

　The main results of our university players are as follows.

・Men's Group Kumite Champion Shimonoseki City University

・Men's Individual Kumite 3rd place Seiji Shirakawa (3rd year Department of International Commerce)

　This tournament is scheduled to be held in the fall of this year, and it is expected that the university's Karate Club will continue to play an active role.
