In Shimonoseki City, a group called "Shimonoseki City Election Awareness Supporter" established by the Shimonoseki City Election Administration Committee is active with the aim of raising the interest of younger generations in elections and improving the overall turnout. .
This year, the fourth term, 9 students from the university will participate. (9 out of a total of 10 students, 1 university student in Kitakyusyu City)

The appointment ceremony was held at Shimonoseki City Hall on August 21 (Wednesday), and a total of seven students attended, including five members working as supporters for the fourth term, one university student who served as supporters from the first term to the third term, and one student from Kitakyusyu City University.

After the appointment ceremony, the supporters paid a courtesy call to Mayor Maedashimo and Deputy Mayor Shimazaki to report on the results of the activities, and talked about future activities.

Subsequently, the supporters visited the Shimonoseki City Council and reported the results of the activities to Chair Kagawa and Vice Chair Yasuoka.
The Shimonoseki City Council also toured the parliament, and the students were seated in the actual seats.

The 4th Shimonoseki City Election Awareness Supporter holds regular meetings about once a month during the term until August 20, 2025, and in addition to on-site classes and street enlightenment at schools in the city, etc. We perform various activities such as engaging in election affairs.
