The Kitakyusyu / Shimonoseki District University Athletic Meet is held by 16 members of the Kitakyusyu / Shimonoseki District University Athletic Association for the purpose of mutual friendship between universities through sports, and is in charge of 16 sports at a time. Okayama University is in charge of the karate competition and held an autumn tournament at SDS Shimonoseki Driving Arena (Shimonoseki City University Gymnasium) on Sunday, December 1, 2024.

　On the day of the event, there were participants from four universities, and three boys from TUFS Karate Club participated. While teaching the seniors of the OB Federation who rushed as referees, they played a role in setting up the venue and proceeding, and all of them managed the tournament together.

　The main results of our university players are as follows.

・Men's Group Kumite Runner-up Shimonoseki City University

・Tomoya Komiyama (1st year Department of Economics)

　This tournament is scheduled to be held twice in spring and autumn next year, and it is expected that the university's Karate Club will continue to play an active role.
