In 2014, Shimonoseki City University Citizen's University Open Lecture "Life Issues in Depopulated Areas and Urban Rural Exchanges" was opened.

On October 24, 2014 (Friday), at the I-301 classroom of the I-301 of the University of Tokyo, an open lecture for the fall semester of this year, "Living Issues in Depopulated Areas and Exchanges in Urban and Rural Areas-Thinking about the desirable relationship between urban and rural areas."

Professor Takafumi Matsumoto of TUFS spoke about the current general perception of depopulation issues, and the students listened enthusiastically.
