On October 19, 2016 (Wednesday), a public lecture at Civic University was held at the I-201 classroom of the main building of the university, "Thinking about regional differences between the purpose of life in urban and rural areas."

　Dr. Yusai Yoshitake, a specially appointed faculty member in charge of regional contributions at OIST, provided that he considered regional differences in purpose of life based on data from national surveys and surveys in rural areas. Many citizens participated, and opinions that the heart was even richer, and it was a very fulfilling course.

　In the 2016 Civic University Open Lecture (Autumn Semester), there are still courses that can be applied for, so we look forward to the participation of many citizens.
